Speaking the Same Language on Responsible Sourcing: Harmonizing Data
Date: Wednesday, May 4, 2022
Time: 9:00-10:00am EST | 3:00-4:00pm CEST
The webinar will be held in English.
Current trends in responsible sourcing point to the importance of reporting on due diligence and social impact. How can we reliably measure how a supply chain has contributed to gender equality, the environment, and peace? Join us to explore what we need to measure, why, and the gaps in current reporting on due diligence and against the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We will share work being done to create a harmonized data framework—to bring coherence and clarity to which data is collected and how. This framework can be used by companies, donors, and mining communities—supporting us all to speak the same language on responsible sourcing. Speakers will also share progress being made with Bloom by IMPACT, an impact monitoring system which allows stakeholders to have evidence supply chains are free from risks and report on progress against the SDGs.

Alan Martin—London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), Head of Responsible Sourcing
