Bloom by IMPACT
Data for good
A monitoring and evaluation platform for responsible supply chains and projects.
Companies and non-profits frequently struggle to understand, track, and report on their impact, especially when they are far removed from the first mile of a supply chain or development intervention. As the movement towards improving supply chain compliance and reporting on development goals or performance standards has grown, so too has the overwhelming nature of the task.
While they may collect extensive data, monitoring and evaluation knowledge and capacity often vary widely within organizations and across supply chains. Large datasets are frequently underutilized, particularly when poorly structured from the outset or when diverse data streams cannot be harmonized.
Local Roots
Bloom was built with local communities in mind.
With Bloom by IMPACT, we want to encourage transformative global change, seed development and resiliency, which ultimately will reduce supply chain risks. The idea for Bloom by IMPACT grew out of decades of research and hands-on experience implementing projects to support transparent supply chains, particularly through IMPACT’s work with communities in Democratic Republic of Congo to implement conflict-free and legal artisanal gold supply chains.
Use Bloom to:
- Reduce guesswork on how to measure progress for your compliance and social impact goals
- Improve data collection investment by reducing data incompatibility, duplication, and stakeholder fatigue
- Increase visibility on our positive impact and where to improve practices
What makes Bloom by IMPACT unique is its powerful Library, made up of industry sourcing standards and internationally tested Indexes and Common Indicator Frameworks. They are mapped against relevant Sustainable Development Goals and industry commitments, harmonized using Results-Based Management. Bloom by IMPACT has adapted them for data collection at a local level. In cases where there are no metrics, we’ve developed our own.

Powered by Impact
Bloom is part of IMPACT’s social enterprise, Knowledge for Impact.
IMPACT established Knowledge for Impact to develop innovative solutions with local partners to support transparency and enable artisanal producers and their communities to benefit from the value of the data they provide. Our work supports partners to clearly understand the lasting change they are creating on the ground. At the same time, it enables local actors across the supply chain to own their data and claim its value to advance development, peace, and equality.
